The Relationship Mediation Service
We take self-referrals for relationship mediation. This is mediation that does not involve a current or intended court process. If you are experiencing conflict with a family member, and would like the support of a mediator, we can help.
We consider children and young people in all the family relationship mediation we undertake and work with
parents to ensure their views are included where appropriate. We will also mediate between a young person aged 13+ and their parent/carer if requested.

How long does it take?
We aim to complete the mediation process within 4 weeks of an initial enquiry, this is often sooner, but all mediations
are undertaken at the pace of the people requesting the service.
All our mediators are experienced and trained to the approved standards of the College of Mediators
We also provide Conflict Coaching for individual's wishing to manage difficult or challenging situations more effectively, and for
where mediation has not been able to proceed.

How much does Mediation cost?
Our self-referral form for Relationship Mediation, which outlines our fees, is available here. If you live in Luton and are on Universal Credit we may be able to offer you a reduced fee.
We also take referrals from other professionals e.g. community, education and social care workers. If your referral comes via a Luton Borough Council social care worker we may be able to provide mediation free of charge to the participants. Please contact your worker to discuss them making a referral to us for you. |
