The Community Mediation Service
What is Mediation?

Mediation is a constructive process in which an impartial third party, the Mediator, assists people to resolve disputes and reach agreements for a way forward.
- Mediation can help reduce hostility, and allow the parties to move forward positively.
- Mediation is confidential and a written agreement will be produced at the end of the meeting
- Mediation can be used in any setting where a dispute is causing people to become 'stuck' and unable to move forward
